Buying credits

Standard card purchases carry a 5.5% fee, with a $0.80 minimum per purchase. Model usage then draws down those credits at the listed token rates. Business credit purchases carry an 8% fee. The purchase fee is not charged again on each request. Source

Using your own API key

With BYOK, you pay the provider for inference. OpenRouter's pay-as-you-go allowance covers $25,000 of list-price inference per month; usage above that allowance carries a 5% OpenRouter fee. Enterprise has a separate allowance and contract. This is different from buying model credits. Source

Free models and paid plans

Free model variants have usage limits. They do not make paid models free. Enterprise terms and other payment methods can differ from the card-purchase examples below. Source

OpenRouter does not publish a definitive list of supported user countries.

Country support status

Country-specific access is not confirmed by a public OpenRouter country list.

Access limits

Model access can vary by the user's location and each model provider's terms. OpenRouter says restricted models cannot be accessed from countries or regions excluded by the model provider.

Regions and data location

Enterprise customers can use an EU endpoint for in-region routing. This is a data-routing option, not proof that every EU country or every model is available.

Check the gateway terms and the selected model provider before relying on access in a specific country. Network edge locations, billing currencies, and provider catalogs are not country-availability evidence.
